Michael joined RBT in January of 1996 and became a Partner on January 1, 2004. Michael became the Firm’s Managing Partner on June 1, 2018. Prior to joining the Firm, Michael worked for a top 100 national firm in Washington, D.C., where he performed audits for publicly traded companies. Michael serves as the Firm’s Managing Partner and as a Partner in the Client Services division of the Firm, which provides diverse accounting and consulting services to the Firm’s clients. He is also in charge of the Firm's Technology Committee where he oversees all information technology matters for the Firm and advises his colleagues on emerging technologies utilized in the accounting field. Michael is the Partner in charge of some of the largest clients that the Firm serves. He has advised clients in a wide range of industries, including franchised automotive dealer services, manufacturing, heavy highway construction, mining, and banking. His experience includes advising companies on structuring corporate transactions and reorganizations, business development; internal controls, acquisition and disposition planning; compensation-related matters; financing and cash flow projections, and analysis; federal, state and international tax matters; as well as representation in federal and state audits.

In 2018, Amanda Dana became an integral part of the County of Orange’s Leadership team as she enthusiastically assumed the role of Tourism Director. Amanda has over 25 years sales and marketing experience in the Hudson Valley region with 18 years in executive recruiting/talent management and 10 years focused on real estate and economic development. During that time, she has grown and cultivated many working relationships with individuals and organizations and has immersed herself with being tremendously involved with her community. Because of her strong alliances, she has developed a very successful skill set of connecting people and organizations with valuable resources. The Orange County Tourism department expanded and acquired the Orange County Film Office and Amanda assumed the role as Executive Director. In 2020, Amanda Dana was selected by the Board of Directors of Hudson Valley Tourism Inc to be the President of the 10-County regional destination marketing organization.

Amanda joined the team of the highly recognized Orange County Partnership in 2013, heading up their Business Retention & Expansion division. In this role, she was responsible for fostering the growth of Orange County companies. Prior to joining the Partnership team, Amanda ran a successful real estate practice in Orange County, New York.

According to County Executive Stephen Neuhaus, “Amanda brings a strong and diverse background to this important position,” Neuhaus said. “The tourism industry is growing in Orange County, and I know that she will work hard to continue that growth. Amanda has developed working relationships with key stakeholders throughout the Hudson Valley which will serve her well as she steers the County’s tourism department forward.”

Josh Sommers, a former veteran radio broadcaster, newspaper columnist and casino marketing executive, founded Focus Media, Inc. in 2002 with the aim of bringing Madison Avenue quality and innovation to his clients. Today, Focus Media is one of the largest public relations and marketing firms in New York outside Manhattan, and in recent years, has been recognized as one of the fastest growing agencies in the nation (PR WEEK).

Sommers serves as president and CEO of Focus Media, which celebrates more than 20 years of success. He advises world-renowned companies and their CEOs on crisis communications, public relations and marketing. Some of his work includes helping guide Resorts World Catskills in the site selection process for its casino resort in New York, and Simon Property Group in publicizing the redevelopment of Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, its flagship center. Sommers also served as a key consultant and lobbyist for the approvals of the $500 million LEGOLAND New York Resort.

Under Sommers’ leadership, Focus Media has won more than 200 national awards for marketing in health care, tourism and economic development. Sommers is also a known leader and promoter of economic development.

Despite the expanding reach of Focus Media, Sommers remains committed to his local community. He is First Vice Chairman of the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp.; Past Chairman of Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan; Past Chairman of the Sullivan County Partnership for Economic Development; and Past Board Member and Officer of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce. He has chaired many nonprofit galas raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for persons in need and cancer research.

In 2012, Sommers received the Walter A. Rhulen Award from the Sullivan County Partnership for Economic Development, the organization’s highest honor, for his leadership in economic development, philanthropy and commitment to the community. He also received the Pillar of the Community Award from Cornerstone Family Healthcare in 2014. Other honors include the Alice Dickinson Award from Rural Development Advisory Corporation (RDAC) and in 2020, he was the very first recipient of the Champion of the Chamber Award from the Orange County Chamber of Commerce.

In 1981, Joann Menendez accepted a teller position with Walden Savings Bank, not knowing she would spend the next 40+ years working in various positions for one of the largest community and mutual savings banks in the country. During her time at WSB, Menendez has worked in various departments and is currently serving as Vice President/Corporate Secretary.

Menendez’s commitment to her community goes beyond her professional role as she served as a Big Sister in the Valley Central School system through the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program for nine years. Furthermore, Menendez led the creation of the original WSB Community Service Program along with Casual for a Cause Days. She also initiated the idea for WSB to donate a house in Walden to St. John Bosco, a community organization that serves troubled youths. In 2015 she was honored as a recipient of the Orange County Tribute to Women of Achievement, in May 2018 she was awarded as an honoree into the Leadership Orange Hall of Fame, and in February 2019 the Karen Minogue Community Service Award by the Community Foundation of Orange & Sullivan Counties.

In regards to other volunteer roles, Menendez has served as a Board Director for the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, and continues to serve on fundraising committees for Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties and Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan Counties. She also serves as a Sunday School teacher at Hudson Valley United Reformed Church where she continues to be an active member, and is the caregiver and guardian of her youngest sister, Marcia.

Joann and her husband Mike have two married sons (Zachary and Diana / Danny and Janelle) and are the proud “Beppe and Papa” of three grandchildren, Oliver, Brooks & Malia.
