United Way of Rockland works with partners to help families become financially stable and independent.

Supporting basic needs while increasing financial education
Helping families to offset the high cost of prescription drugs


Our Income initiative is Financial Stability:

Dollars and Sense: Financial stability training that will teach adults and youth the basics of money management in order to help them meet their current financial responsibilities and plan fortheir long range financial security. Cornell Cooperative Extension directly supports this initiative in collaboration with Palisades Federal Credit Union, RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Rockland), North Rockland School District and Rockland County Department of Social Services.
FamilyWize: Provides free prescription discount cards offering significant savings for those without insurance or who cannot afford prescription drugs. The United Way in collaboration with the FamilyWize Community Partnership.
CASH: Creating Assets Savings and Hope: Provides free tax preparation and financial assistance to low-income workers. United Way of Rockland County supports this initiative in collaboration with AARP.
EFSP: Emergency Food and Shelter Program provides assistance with basic needs to families in emergency situations. This program is administered by the United Way of Rockland County on behalf of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency.
